Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Celebrated

 

Today, Multani Mal Modi College Patiala enthusiastically celebrated 143rd Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day). The college Principal Dr Khushvinder Kumar addressed the students and said everyone is proud of Sardar Patel’s contributions to the Union of India before it attained freedom and during the early years after the nation became independent. He asked them to work for unity of the nation. It was followed by Oath Ceremony, wherein NSS Programme Officer Dr Harmohan Sharma administered “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” pledge to students and faculty to stand for Unity and Integrity of the country. The faculty members Dr Baljinder Kaur, Prof Shailendra Sidhu, Dr Gurdeep Singh, Dr Ajit Kumar, Dr Ganesh Sethi and Dr Sukhdev Singh were also present.
